Dr Kloppenburg practises to the same clinical governance standards in her private practice as she does in her NHS role at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine.
Standards and accountability
Dr Kloppenburg is fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC No. 7541548) with specialist registration in General Internal Medicine. She holds full indemnity insurance through the Medical Protection Society (MPS No. 598220).
Her clinical practice is governed by the same standards that apply to her NHS work at the RLHIM. This includes: thorough documentation of every consultation; written care plans for every patient; drug-herb interaction reviews before prescribing any complementary therapy; and clear communication with the patient's existing medical team.
What this means for patients
Every patient receives a written care plan after their consultation. This document is designed to be shared with their GP or oncologist, and includes Dr Kloppenburg's clinical reasoning, the evidence base for each recommendation, and any safety considerations. She welcomes communication from other members of the patient's medical team.
What this means for referring clinicians
Referring clinicians can expect a written report after every consultation, clear documentation of any complementary therapies prescribed, and a proactive approach to flagging any safety concerns. Dr Kloppenburg does not prescribe anything that she cannot justify clinically, and she does not recommend patients discontinue conventional treatment.
